Frequently asked questions
Which inputs are supported?
Paste reference text, BibTeX or RIS, or import UTF-8 .bib, .ris and .txt files. The limit is 500 entries and 5 MB. Word, PDF and scanned documents are not supported.
Can any pasted reference be converted?
Not necessarily. Structured inputs are more reliable. Plain text supports common GB/T, APA and IEEE layouts and requires author and field review. Unknown formats retain their original text; missing data is never guessed.
How do the three styles differ?
The tool offers numeric GB/T 7714-2015, APA 7 and IEEE. GB/T and IEEE follow entry order; APA uses style-defined sorting. Renumbering the bibliography does not update citations in your paper. Institution and journal requirements may differ.
How are false duplicate matches avoided?
Identical entries and matching DOIs without key conflicts can be batch-merged. Conflicting fields or similar titles, authors and years require individual review. Different DOIs are not auto-merged. You can keep both entries or undo merges.
Does this complete or verify references?
No. It does not look up DOIs, search papers, upload references or establish authenticity. You review and supply missing fields. Input stays in page memory and is cleared on reload or close.
